Welcome to Phoenix United Reformed Church!
Welcome to Phoenix United Reformed Church! We extend a warm welcome to those visiting us today. “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” Matt 18:20. Please join us for coffee and refreshments following the morning worship service. Visitors are always warmly invited to participate in our Sunday School classes, available for all ages, following our morning worship services.
Morning Worship — 9:30 AM
We are led in worship this morning by Rev. Phil Grotenhuis, continuing in a series on “Discipleship”.
Evening Worship — 5:30 PM
Tonight, we will be led in worship by Rev. Michael Spotts. Previously, we've seen how the Gospel provides an immovable anchor for souls. Nevertheless, assurance can sometimes feel upset when bobbing on seas of subjectivity and sin. Through Peter's epistle, the Spirit exhorts you to gain the ballast of godliness and experience smoother sailing. It will be our privilege to celebrate the Lord’s Supper during the evening worship service.
Youth Group Fundraising Supper
Saturday April 21st, 5 PM. The PURC Youth Group Families are hosting a Fundraiser “GreekFest” Dinner (yes, we will have baklava) there will be amazing food and childcare provided by the youth group. Seating is limited, so RSVP today!
Transgenderism and the Gospel
In the last decade, gender identity has been a much discussed and debated issue - one which the church has been encouraged to address through the gospel. Walt Heyer, a former transgender person and convert to Christianity, will speak to the adult education class Sunday, April 22 after our morning worship service. Come and hear Walt describe his former life, his conversion to Christianity, and how the church can minister to those who struggle with gender identity issues.
Cadet/Men’s Camping Trip
