10 am-12 pm: Mission Ecclesiology (Perspective)
Discussion led by Paul Murphy on Michael Goheen’s book “A Light to the Nations”. Note: there will be the assumption that you will have purchased and read the book prior to our discussion.
12-1:30 pm: lunch break

1:30-3:30 pm: Mission Ecclesiology 1 (practice)

Dave, a PCA pastor, works in impoverished, drug and gang-ridden South Phoenix (we’ll do this over lunch)

1:30-3:30 pm: Mission Ecclesiology and Theological Training (Dr. Michael Goheen)
3:30-4 pm: break
4-5:30 pm: Round Table & Prayer
Share what’s going on in our churches (joys/challenges) and prayer for one another (led by MARS prof and pastor Jeff DeBoer)
6:30 PM: BBQ at Phil's
We'll supply bratwurst, sides, and dessert. Bring a favorite beverage to share. If you don't want bratwurst, feel free to bring meat to grill.

ADF attorney and Phoenix United elder Jeff Shafer will speak on the various challenges missional churches face in the area of religious freedom in light of recent high court decisions

10-11 am: where do we go from here?
Discussion of the challenges and opportunities of serving confessionally Reformed churches in the area of domestic and foreign missions. Also, a discussion about the feasibility and advisability of forging an informal alliance of URC churches devoted to a mission ecclesiology.
