Outreach Opportunities

“...let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” — Mt 5:16

We encourage all members to share their gifts outside the church in Christ's name. Here are ways others at PURC are serving. Ask a deacon or pastor to connect you with others for more information.

Partner with Safe Families for Children

Though this ministry, PURC members partner to support local families in times of crisis, in Christ’s name. Different roles and levels of commitment can suit your unique gifting and availability.

Mentor Foster Children

Christian Family Care's Mentoring Program is designed to provide local youth in foster care with a mentor who will have a consistent presence in their life. The goal is for children to achieve a close bond with an adult who also has a relationship with Jesus. This will be a traditional mentoring program, in that one mentor will be matched with one youth and meetings will be face-to-face each month. Training provided. See the link for more information.

New City Phoenix

The purpose of New City is to transform South Phoenix neighborhoods through painting projects, tutoring in English as a second language (ESL), homeless ministry, and Bible distribution.
