Text: Acts 21:1-16
Series: Acts
Here we consider the 8th command, “you shall not steal,” and how it is grounded in our calling to bear God’s generous image.
Ecclesiastes intimidates many Christians. How does this melancholy voice fit within the chorus of Scripture? This Lord’s Day we will explore some guiding principles to help you receive God's message in this book of exceptional wisdom.
The sixth command, “you shall not murder,” can feel remote to people who have never contemplated killing another human being. The Word, however, not only proscribes acts of murder, but common root-sins from which they grow. As well, God wills that we positively respect, defend, and promote human life. Tonight we'll consider how all of this is based on God's love and lordship over life.
In this sermon, we consider the fifth commandment and God’s special commitment toward those who honor it.
